Psycho is a badge glove added on May 5, 2023. The glove is obtained through the Ultimate Control badge. Visually, the glove is a glowing, neon, light-green texture.

Obtainment

To get the Ultimate Control badge, the player must go to The Ruins, and down the staircase. To get to The Ruins, the player must use Reverse's ability and hit another player who also has the Reverse ability active. There is a 3% chance for the 2 to be teleported to The Ruins every time this is done. Once the player at The Ruins, instead of going to the “Repressed Memory” area with their clone, the player must go down the stairs and to the edge of the island. (During Halloween, it is pretty much impossible to be obtained as once you get hit by the lightning, the screen becomes pitch black, unless you go to the Retro Obby or The Abyss and return back to have the daytime.)

Upon reaching the edge, numerous pillars will appear with some spinning, forming an obby. The player will have to complete the obby. Once they reach the last island, they must return to the location where their clone was located, and instead of the clone, the Psycho glove will be there. Clicking the glove will make the player equip it and reset them, rewarding them the badge.

Once you reach the first island, lightning will strike your character. When this happens, you will have one minute to reach the end of the Obby. Once you reach the last island, the timer will be cancelled, and you have as much time as you want to return to the start of the obi. After reaching the last island, all platforms will move much slower.

NOTE: After you get struck by lightning, you will start hearing whispers and your screen will get gradually darker. The louder the voices and the darker your screen, the less time you have to finish the obby. If you die, you have to restart the whole process again.

This badge CAN be obtained in private servers, alongside with Recall, though you are able to get both at once with a rare glitch.

On the first rotating pillar, the next pillar will not appear. This is not a glitch and is made to cause confusion. Do not panic, as jumping from the rotating pillar is fairly simple. Get as far as you can on the rotating pillar (facing the direction which the obby goes, of course) and jump. The next platform will appear as you land, and you should be able to land safely.

Once you reach the first island and are struck by lightning, do not panic. Although your time is limited (one minute), you can take your time. When you jump from the island to the next platform, do not hesitate. Once you reach the next platform, get stable ground to jump to the next platform. Then, from the next platform, do not hesitate to jump. Go left when you are faced the decision to go either left or right, it is an easier path. Get stable ground when you jump to the left platform, and then jump to the last platform before reaching the end of the obby. Make sure the platform is in a position where you can jump on. At the end of the obby there will be three chunks of earth, do not jump any one of them, instead, head all the way back.

Once you have reached the end of the obby, take your time going back. You will not be timed at all.

Ability

Upon slapping someone, a blue light will emit for a split second and an outlined mark will appear on the victim. Pressing E will cause the victim to be pulled back to the user while floating. The user can now control the victim using telekinesis, and can bring them anywhere for a short amount of time. The user can launch the victim in the direction they are facing by pressing E, or they can slap them, still disabling the ability. The telekinetic launch can be charged for up to five seconds, allowing the user to launch the victim farther.

Psycho also has another ability. Double jumping (via quickly hitting space or the jump button on mobile twice) will cause the user to float in the direction they face their camera for a few seconds. The user can use this while having someone trapped by their other ability. The user cannot be slapped during this, nor can they slap anyone while using it.

GLOVE TIP: Slap the player, use the ability wait till it runs out, slap them, fly to them and repeat. Leads to an easy combo. Otherwise, you can just grab them, bring them to the edge and slap them. But people will target you both ways.

Pros and Cons Pros You can pull people closer to the edge, making it for an easy kill. Upon pressing E again with someone in your grasp, they will be flung depending on how long you hold E for. You can save people as long as you have them marked. You can mark several people at a time. The telekinesis lasts long enough for you to get to an area to throw them off. When throwing them off, the knockback is based off where you're facing. It's easy to see who you marked, as the marked person has a blue outline. Its range is infinite as long as they are marked. You can drag a person with you to your death as long as you have them marked. The floating ability has a decently short cooldown. The knockback on the telekinesis ability can bypass Reverse's and Golden's ability. Holding the E button longer increases the power when throwing your enemies after telekinesis. You can transfer things like potato's potato or Link's link when using the telekinesis ability on someone. Even after dying, your mark will still save, however the mark does not last long enough to be able to slap someone off the edge. The floating ability can defend you from all forms of indirect attacks. You can still float while disarmed by Disarm or Boogie. Similar to Za Hando, Psycho users can drag other players into a MEGAROCK, CUSTOM or rob. You are immune to most gloves while you are floating. You can nullify Za Hando's ability by using the float ability. Immune to Hallow Jack's pumpkin while floating. Has above average power. You can throw rob off the edge while they're transforming. Cons Gets countered by gloves that counter regular slaps due to Psycho depending on them. Players can still slap during the telekinesis, so it's best to keep them at a distance. The mark is temporary and short (lasts approximately 4.5 seconds) You cannot use the floating ability during ragdoll. Other Psycho users can steal your target. If the mark goes away mid-telekinesis, it will wear off and the player can move freely again. Larry becomes enraged when using the telekinesis ability on a Rattlebones user. Baller and clones from Replica can be marked, but not controlled. If a Replica user were to use their ability in your grasp, a clone would spawn, but it would be stuck until slapped. The float ability is short, lasting 3 seconds, so users must be cautious not to fall off the map while gliding in the air. Sometimes, when using the flight ability, the game will kick you with the message saying, "tut tut tut." This means that the game thought you were double-jumping. potato, Link, and Plague can still mark you if you are using the floating ability. ZZZZZZZ and fish can use their abilities to escape Psycho's ability. If a Diamond/MEGAROCK/CUSTOM uses their ability, they won't get dragged. Ultra Instinct can dodge the activation of the control ability if they are marked. T H I C K users will be able to hit you if you attempt to pull them if their glove is large enough. This glove will make you a target if you abuse its abilities. Although the mark saves when you die, it will not save if the marked player dies. You cannot slap other players during the floating ability. Thor's ability can disable the floating ability. If you are using the floating ability and another Psycho uses the pull ability on you, you will be flung to the void or death barrier. If a Counter or Jebaited activates their ability before you pull them, you will activate their counters. Phase can use its ability to escape being thrown. If you are looking away from the enemy you are pulling they can hit you even without a large like T H I C K. You usually must look at your enemy while using the telekinesis ability which makes it harder to slap others. The telekinetic push is near inefficient against Beatdown users since they can just summon their stands to weigh them down, thus greatly reducing the knockback they'll take. Update History Changes Date Psycho was added. May 5, 2023 Fixed dash not working on Xbox. May 12, 2023 Disabled the ability to slap while levitating. July 28, 2023 Grab duration reduced from 8 seconds -> 3.5 seconds.

Mark duration from 8 seconds -> 4.5 seconds.

March 22, 2024 Trivia The tooltip seems to be a reference to the No b**ches? Megamind meme. This is the first glove to have a double jump ability. The floating ability is similar to that of Phase, as you can float and have I-Frames. Another ability it shares similarities with is Za Hando, as you can pull people. Pulling people may be a reference to Silver the Hedgehog's Telekinetic power as they are unable to move, and emit a blue glow. As well as the flight ability where in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 Silver can fly while also having a blue aura around him. This is the second glove to have an ability not locked to the E key, the first is edgelord. This is the first player accessible glove to have an ability not locked to the E key. It is possible to obtain this with 0 slaps (even if both you and the other person has 0 as well!) using Mitten. You/both you and the other player must be under the Reverse effect obtained from Mitten and hope that you reach the Ruins on the first try. This is exceptionally difficult and it is very unlikely that someone will get this glove using this method anytime soon. If you use shift-lock and walk backwards while carrying a marked player, their gloves will not be able to hit you, unless they are using a glove with longer reach like Orbit, or can hit you with a ranged ability. There's an "infinite" combo the user can execute with this glove. All the Psycho user has to do to get the combo started is to slap someone. When you have slapped someone, use your E ability, jump and hit them, and as you're jumping use your double jump. If you use the double jump at just the right time you will land right behind the person you slapped. Now all you need to to is slap them again when they get up again, and by the time you've done that the cool-down for the ability will be over, allowing you to repeat this for an infinite amount of time as long as you don't mess up the timing, This makes Psycho one of the most overpowered gloves in the game Psycho's Telekinesis ability might be a reference to Star Wars as it somewhat resembles The Force and the release date of the glove was right after May 4th (May the 4th be with you). The outlines that appear while the ability is active don't show on mobile. There is a chance for the game's anti-cheat to kick Psycho users with the message: "tut tut tut". This happens because the anti-cheat thinks the user is fly-hacking when they use the glove's Dash ability. It is possible to go from the Main island to Moai Island using Psycho's float ability, but not vise versa. Many people misspell this glove as its spelling is confusing. Sometimes if you change how the game renders graphics with a software like Bloxstrap, when using the fly ability or grabbing a player they will simply get a blue tint instead. This can also happen to Killstreak and Reaper. You can unleash a leashed player by having them marked and using the ability. Technically this has 3 abilities: Float, Mark, and Telekinesis (Grab and Push). You could also class Telekinesis' Grab and Push as two separate abilities, as they both do different things. Hitting someone with a highlight (Reaper, Killstreak, etc.) will cancel the highlight for you (locally) and using the ability will do this for everyone. If you slap someone off of the map, then use the "pull" ability, they might get stuck on the bottom part of the map. If you were to slap an activated Reverse while using the float ability, nothing would happen. If you use the fly ability then hold the glove your blue outline/tint will disappear, this is only a visual and only appears for a few seconds. After the Thor update, the glove was nerfed to not being able to slap people during fly. If you try to obtain Psycho during Halloween, you'll likely be unable to as when the lightning strikes you, the screen will turn pitch black making it impossible to see due to the dark sky. This could be fixed by going to the Retro Obby or The Abyss, as it makes your screen bright again. This is also the main reason why only 100-200 players get it during Halloween daily. The Telekinesis Ability is somewhat similar to a GMod gun, called GMod Physics Gun. They both can pick up something with a blue outline around the object, and they can both drop the object on command. Psycho's push ability can be used in Timestop to get rid of a God's Hand if the ability was held down before the Timestop has started. You can use the double jump ability without having your glove equipped. This glove and Voodoo glove are the only two glove banners that are made by Gebisran123 instead of The Gravity Breaker.
